Help Shape a Community for New and Experimental Music
When InfraSound started, we were a group of students at Manhattan School of Music's Contemporary Performance Program, dreaming of an ensemble where we could share new music while supporting each other and our community.
Now, InfraSound is in our 6th year of creative, curious, and collaborative concert-making. Your support is more important than ever as we navigate a continuously uncertain time in the creative arts. With arts funds being slashed from federal budgets, and grants becoming more and more competitive with fewer funds available, smaller-budget organizations like InfraSound rely heavily on your public support.

Since our founding in 2019, InfraSound has supported over 60 young musicians, performers, composers, and artists. Our programming continues to expand our reach with over 70 world premieres and arrangements, and over 18 dynamic performances over the last five years that advance our mission to shape the evolving landscape of contemporary classical music. InfraSound emphasizes quality over quantity, and approaches each self-produced show as a chance to create, invent, experiment, and change the ecosystem of new music in NYC and beyond.
With your individual contribution, InfraSound can continue to work on building a diverse and eccentric community of artists who think accessibility and allyship is central to our mission. Your donation contributes directly to our grass-roots efforts by supporting young musicians, composers, and artists who are rethinking the way experimental music is being performed and presented today.

InfraSound's goal is to raise $5000 for our 2025-2026 Season. Our upcoming concerts include a collaboration with organist and Wandelweiser composer Eva-Maria Houben on a portrait concert series at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in February 2026 and a concert of music by Bunita Marcus and Morton Feldman featuring performance artist Marisa Tornello and Feldman's seminal trio Crippled Symmetry in April 2026. Beyond these performances, InfraSound is developing a core ensemble from our first ever open-call auditions, commissioning new works, and planning academic residencies.
How your support helps InfraSound
Supports artist fees to help pay musicians, composers, and artists fairly
Funds production costs likes audio and video recording, printed programs, sheet music, and FOH staff
Offsets costs for reduced and free tickets to our concerts for low-income individuals and students/seniors
What is Infrasound?
InfraSound is a NYC based ensemble that designs experimental music experiences for people of all backgrounds, encouraging individuals to engage with experimental music through outreach performances, education, and conversation. Our in-house ensemble is made up of artists, advocates, performers, and leaders, who prioritize accessibility and allyship in New Music. Our mission as an ensemble is to amplify the works of individuals who are largely unheard through community and collaboration, redefining the promotion and presentation of experimental music to create a more sustainable future.
None of this would have been possible without the generous contribution by last year’s donors. You are the foundation that allows our ensemble to push the envelope of what it means to be an experimental music collective in 2025.
IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes! InfraSound is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so every donation is 100% tax-deductible. No donation is too small! Every donation makes an impact and helps InfraSound continue to support working musicians, composers, and artists in NYC.
